Help the maintenance and development of a school in Laos.

Sunshine School, or Honghien Souliya (ໂຮງຮຽນສຸລິຍາ) as it is known in Lao, is situated in the heart of Vientiane. It has early years classes from nursery to pre-school, primary school classes from grades 1 – 5, and four junior high school classes, with a total of 350 students in 2020 and 50 staff. It was established in 1996 and officially licensed and registered with the Lao government.

“Since April this year we have been trying to manage on a very minimum budget. Only the primary and high school students have joined in the online classes for which we can only charge a percentage of the normal fees and even that some parents cannot pay. For the kindergarten section, which usually helps to support the overall project, only about 10% of our students choose to do some online classes. So, I worry how to support all the staff, at least a minimum amount, even the non-teaching staff, so that their families can manage during this continuing lockdown.” – A. Gaorii (Project Manager)
