Today I attended a series of activities at Zangarro, a little village located near the city of Morelia, in Mexico. The program started with the inauguration of an art exhibit followed by a ceremony of prize distribution to the kids participating in a literary, poetry, and drawing competition.
It was nice to see these kids being encouraged to develop their talents and to appreciate art.
After a pause for a tipical Mexican lunch the engineer Carlos Padilla gave a talk about the quality of life and perspectives for the future. The talk was quite captivating and everyone listened with attention. His conclusion was that everyone needs to do something to improve the environment and quality of life in the planet.
The program ended with local games for the children.
It was a nice experience and a different way to serve the community.
